Instruction and Advise
May 2010
After many happy years trading as Alan Packer Photography, I have decided to take early retirement and retain this website as a personal showcase. I apologise if you have been directed to this site in search of wedding, portrait or any other commercial photography and advise you to look for a photographer with accreditation to a trade association such as the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and the British Institute of Professional Photographers. It is also a good idea to ask to see one or more complete weddings rather than just a showcase of many. Moreover, make sure that they have professional indemnity and public liability insurances. Remember - you get what you pay for.
I do hope that before you leave this site, you will have a look around and maybe return at a later date to view the landscape photos that I shall be taking during my newly acquired leisure time.

Try out my local history page, it has some interesting old black and white film images (yes actually on FILM and developed by myself, those were the days). The building of the Saltash tunnel, the demolishion of the Southern railway viaduct over St Levan Road in Plymouth. History in the making of the Royal Albert Bridge 10 million pound refurbishment, an ongoing project at the moment.
