What do I look for when looking for a professional photographer for a wedding.

Look for accreditation of some sort, they should follow a code of conduct of some association or other, this could be The Master Photographers Association, Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, British Institute of Professional Photographers.  You should be able to find their names on the applicable site.

Finder sites are good too but be wary that raving comments about the photographer could easily have been put there by themselves.

Don’t just be content at viewing a show album, this may show off what albums are available from the photographer, but invariably includes the best shots from various weddings.  Ask to see some whole wedding shoots, this will give you a better idea of how they work.

Not only should they have there own equipment insurance, but most associations insist on not only third party insurance too but professional indemnity insurance incase things go wrong.

So ask what they have.

If you have any other questions on this subject please use the contact page to ask a question.  I will do my best to answer it.
