Spare
After many happy years trading as Alan Packer Photography, I have decided to take early retirement and retain this website as a personal showcase.  I apologise if  you have been directed to this site in search of wedding, portrait or any other commercial photography and advise you to look for a photographer with accreditation to a trade association such as the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and the British Institute of Professional Photographers.  Moreover, make sure that they have professional indemnity and public liability insurances.  Remember - you get what you pay for.
Don’t take too much notice of raving reviews either, the photographer can easily have put these there him/her self.

I am however available for basic to advanced photographic training if you are not quite sure of using that new digital camera.  DSLR  is a preferred but a point and shoot can always take  good images  if used correctly.
Photoshop is something that I can confidently show how you can improve your images with Camera Raw Processing, and the use of layers and other processes that will enhance your original shot, in the same way that a good hand processor could do in the days of wet processing using an enlarger but on your computer.

I do hope that before you leave this site, you will have a look around and maybe return at a later date to view the landscape photos that I shall be taking during my newly acquired leisure time.

I am reconstructing those parts of this site that would require flash to view them, this is mainly when being viewed on tablets and phones.  Please come back if there are any particular areas that you may be interested in.
